Orchestral and band instrumentalists of all standards are invited to join, and the players are placed in groups to match their age and ability.

During this busy week, we still find time for outdoor activities such as rounders matches.

At all the centres there is a solos concert mid-week. Here, players have the opportunity of performing their favourite piece in front of a friendly audience.

The culmination of the week is a concert on the Friday night at which we perform a selection of music covered during the course.

In Harpenden, players are grouped into Junior (beginner to grade 3 and ages 7-10) and Intermediate (grades 3+ to 6 and ages 10-13) groups.

This course is available for ages 7-13 only.

Musicale Young Artists’ Programme caters for 13-19-year-olds grade 6 up to diploma level.
